Dark accent wall to bring the outside in

What a great idea - I have been reluctant to do this since it is very high contrast - the dark with the bright light of outside streaming in. This looks great though, I love it. It really does bring the yard inside.

As you may know, San Francisco is an amazing place to garden. Our Mediterranean climate allows for a huge variety of plants, and our topography lends itself to interesting terraced landscapes. During the summer, though, in much of the city, it rarely gets warm enough to lounge around outside, so we're always trying to think of design ideas to bring the outdoors in. When our friend Bonnie Bridges, a local architect, was helping us choose paint colors for our new house, she suggested a dark accent wall to frame our garden view. Spring 2009

Spring fever have you feeling antsy? Vacation to exotic destinations not an option? Ready for a change? Why not repaint a room? Spring's hottest colors are lively and vibrant and are sure to make a bold statement.
If you're scared, start small with throw pillows or other accessories; or try one out in a smaller powder room or closet.
Taken from the Pantone inspired color palettes of some of this season's hottest fashion designers, it'll be just about impossible to feel blah in a gorgeous Lucite Green room.

Domino Magazine

It's official! I'm in the fine print! My floor gets a bit more notice than my name, and that's what's important, right?
Again, click on the link to my photos in flickr for more detailed shots of the floor.

Look for me in Domino!

A recent project by Rogue Designs is being featured in the November issue of Domino Magazine!
The article features the floor of a local designer’s home in the historic Mission District of San Francisco. It was hand-stenciled in a MacGregor plaid (based on the homeowner's family tartan).
